MC STORY
When a group of brothers saw the impecunious state of their families, they took a leap to change
their circumstance. This jump created a movement behind their very own clothing brand.
“It was a tough battle to get here!” one of the brothers shouted, walking around the new office in
London UK.
Along the white office walls, drawers filled with black, red and white T-shirts, hoodies and hats
neatly tucked away. The clothing stood as a testament to the last five years. The unique logo of
Pronounced as “Mill’ E’ Circle,” MILLI CIRCLE’s main drive, inspiration and hope of production was to
help support their families. The business venture has continued today as a part of movement to
inspire others in similar circumstances.
“Me and my brothers were so young when we started,” Mikhail said. “We taught ourselves. We
would talk to older experienced people to help figure this clothing brand all out.”
The Milli Brothers set up racks of the same shirts and hoodies on a hanger for display. The makeshift
pop-up shop in the student center on the Croydon college campus caught attention of students
going in and out of the building during their lunch break.
Students bustled by the pop-up shop to grab a quick munch to eat before class while some browsed.
Unknowingly, as students flip through the racks of clothing, they stumble upon MILLI CIRCLE’s
famous quote…

“IF YOU LOOK AT THE PEOPLE IN YOUR CIRCLE AND YOU DON’T GET INSPIRED, YOU DON’T HAVE A
CIRCLE… YOU HAVE A CAGE.” Nass said. The office continued to fill with the sound of hands clasping
and laughing. Music began to play in the background, “KRUMMILLI – WADDA” one of the hottest
songs of 2021. One of the Milli Brothers eagerly greets students who approach the shop, ready to
tell the story behind the clothing brand.
“It’s like a social event,” Mikhail said. “Doing a pop-up shop is about being able to convey our
message of our brand with people, to talk about success and being great and bring positivity.”
In 2018 Mikhail, one of the brothers got into some trouble with the law due to the impoverished
south London environment, and this took a toll on the structure of the circle. Then couple months
later Nass was sent to Jamaica to stay due to his parents noticing that he is starting to get involved
with the wrong crowds. “Minor setbacks, for major come backs, that’s my favorite line,” Mikhail
said. As he stood up with motivation.
Rarely idle in their childhood years, the Milli brothers found ways to stay active by transforming
simple activities into their own adventures. They would ride bikes together from Croydon to Brixton
and create and post stunt videos to YouTube.
“We would wake up early in the morning on the weekend and go to this art program” Nass Said. “I
would make all my brothers go with me. We used to just jump on the public transport and go.”
In their teenage years the brothers came together and designed 12 T-shirts on a website called
Uber-prints, ready to sell.
“We used to find a way to make money by selling sweets before,” Mikhail said. “We were
underprivileged. Fashion is big here in London UK, the way you look and the way you dress. So, we
went into selling T-shirts.
Before any of the brothers could hold a part time job, selling T-shirts was one of the limited options
they could utilize to financially help their families. The brothers quickly sold the shirts to their other
friends and peers. Mikhail introduced the designing website to Nass, and Nass began to handle the
graphic design side of their newfound business.
Their brand MILLI CIRCLE was born out of necessity and artistry of 5 brothers. It laid the foundation
of a dream to one day sell in stores and inspire others.
“Back then we were little boys, making music out of our mothers’ crib, creating clothing designs just
to eat.” Nass said. “We had no clue what we were doing.”
The brothers went to college the next year. They began to learn the ropes of designing, selling and
marketing clothing to their friends and peers in their classes and extra curriculums.
Antuan the second youngest brother went to private school which was funded by the older brothers
within the Milli brothers, where he played basketball and football. He used the exposure of the
multiple school sports to show off the brand. Athletes commonly parade in popular brands such as
Nike, Adidas and The North Face. Instead, Antuan wore MILLI CIRCLE.
“Playing high school sports gave us the opportunities to present out brand and gain more reach,”
Antuan said.
Antuan continued to use sports as a platform for the brand as he took part in the athletic sports at
his school. Many football players and other athletes wear MILLI CIRCLE in support.
Mikhail would become the head designer after the first success of the first T-shirt design. Unlike
Nass as he was more interested in the music, art and acting when he participated in films and
commercials.
With Nass’s knack for visual art and Mikhail’s natural business mindset, the brothers were a perfect
circle and business partners. The brand quickly expanded to being sold online on its own website.
The brothers learned the downfall of selling clothing in stores too soon and chose a personal route
of selling their clothing line.

“You need a lot of inventory and merchandise to sell online, pop-up shops and in stores,” Mikhail
said. “We tried to run before we could crawl and lost money.”
The brand became an LLC in 2020, after the brothers had graduated college, with a shortened name
to mirror companies like Louis Vuitton. The combined MC symbol began to circulate on their website
and social media as the official logo of MILLI CIRCLE.
College, for the brothers was obviously the next step. The fear of creating an original brand on top of
the challenge of being the first generation to go to college had a huge impact on the Milli brothers.
“We made it out of the ghetto,” Nass said. “We come from the inner-city of London. We desired
more for ourselves.” Antuan went to college to motivate the youth, and to let them know you can
graduate. Even if you don’t know anyone personally who has finished college yourself. “With the
right circle around you… You can!” Mikhail interrupted.
Living together at home but spending their lives on different paths, the brothers never stopped
collaborating and designing. Football helped Antuan shape his leadership skills and gave him more
influence on the college ground, that allowed the Milli brothers to reach a bigger variety of the
students with their vision and brand.
“For my team, I am the leader of the group,” Mikhail said. “I look for ways to improve. When people
wear this brand, I want people to think excellence.”
Nass manages the numbers, team management, paperwork and marketing for the brand so that
Mikhail can handle the materials, website and designs. The logistics and visuals allows the brothers
and business partners to use their strengths to produce the quality of excellence they’ve been
wishing for and strive to bring forth to the community.
“We strive to be leaders and role models,” Mikhail said. “I want to bring forth positivity.”
Even while juggling athletics, school and the clothing business, the brothers began to hit their stride
within the London community. However, they reached a fork in the road of their success which
caused them to question whether they should continue the brand or not.
During a trip to Brixton the day started out with a flat tire in Streatham and ended up in a robbery.
All of the MILLI CIRCLE stock and most important of all, Mikhail’s with all his designs was stolen that
day.
“Everything was stolen,” Nass said. “I had to ask, should we do this anymore?” the incident left the
brothers completely torn between two options: risk is all and get back the laptop or follow their own
individual futures. The brothers had a discussion that night, weather the vision they once had as
young boys was worth risking everything that they have built over the years.
“At the end of the day, fear was not going to help the situation,” Mikhail said. “So the year after that
we started fresh and bought a new laptop. We knew how much the brand meant to us, the
consistency, blood sweat and tears we put into this brand we couldn’t stop there and that is what
made us different.”
Over the years the Milli brothers have gained all the relevant experiences they need to run a
successful business. The brand is their focus, over the years the brand has expanded its clothing line
from T-shirts to Men, women and children activewear. With the expansion MILLI CIRCLE will be able
to reach out and share the vision with more people.
“IF YOU ARE WEARING OUR CLOTHING, YOU TRUST AND BELIEVE IN THIS MOVEMENT, YOU
SUPPORT US, AND WE THANK YOU.”
